TASI Mid-Market Update — February 5, 2026

The Saudi Arabian benchmark stock index, Tadawul All Shares Index(TASI.SA), experienced a decline of 1.4% during the early trading session on Thursday, February 5, 2026. This downward movement follows a broader trend across Gulf equity markets, influenced significantly by a sharp decrease in crude oil prices.

The index fell to approximately 11,080 points, with a significant majority of its constituents trading in negative territory.

Oil Price Impact: Crude prices, a primary driver for the region's financial markets, retreated by 1.6% to reach $68.35 per barrel. The decline is attributed to geopolitical shifts, specifically the agreement between the U.S. and Iran to hold diplomatic talks in Oman, which has temporarily eased supply-side risk premiums.

The session saw broad-based selling pressure, with the most pronounced losses concentrated in the Materials, Information Technology, and Real Estate sectors.

Materials: The sector was weighed down by a sharp drop in Saudi Arabian Mining Co.(1211.SA) (Ma’aden), which fell 5%.

Energy: Sentiment remained cautious despite recent capital market reforms, as the market balances long-term growth initiatives with immediate fluctuations in energy revenue.

Global energy giant Saudi Arabian Oil Co.(2222.SA) recorded a loss of 0.5%.

Al Rajhi Bank(1120.SA) decreases by 0.6%, and The Saudi National Bank(1180.SA) trades 2.6% lower. ACWA POWER Co.(2082.SA) down by 1.7%.
