On Saturday, NIO Inc. (NYSE:NIO) reported strong July delivery growth as the electric vehicle maker continued expanding across its three brands.

NIO July Deliveries Jump 71%

NIO delivered 35,934 vehicles in July 2026, up 71% from a year earlier.

The total included 20,008 NIO-brand vehicles, 10,155 ONVO vehicles and 5,771 FIREFLY vehicles.

Year-to-date deliveries rose 68% to 227,057 vehicles. Cumulative deliveries reached 1,224,649 vehicles as of July 31.

ES8 Lineup Expansion

NIO began deliveries of the All-New ES8 Five-Seat Version on July 10, expanding the flagship lineup to five-, six- and seven-seat configurations.

The All-New ES8 reached 130,000 cumulative deliveries on July 22, 305 days after its market launch in late September 2025.

The expanded lineup targets the premium large five-seat and three-row battery-electric SUV segments.

Chinese EV Peer Performance

XPeng Inc. (NYSE:XPEV) delivered 38,027 vehicles in July, representing a 4% year-over-year increase.

Li Auto Inc. (NASDAQ:LI) delivered 30,468 vehicles in July, down 0.9% from 30,731 a year earlier and 1.4% from 30,895 in June. During the month, the company also launched the new Li L6 and expanded its overseas footprint.

NIO Stock: Critical Levels To Watch

At $4.88, the stock is slightly above its 20-day SMA of $4.82 but remains below the 50-day SMA of $5.09 and 200-day SMA of $5.51, keeping the broader trend bearish.

RSI stands at 49.88, indicating neutral momentum and balanced buying and selling pressure.

The June death cross remains a cautionary signal. Traders will likely watch $5.00 as near-term resistance, followed by the 50-day SMA near $5.09.

  • Key Resistance: $5.00 — a psychological level that could cap short-term rebounds.
