- Data analytics provider Databricks is raising a strategic round of funding, valuing the data analytics firm at $188 billion.
- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said that Taco Bell, owned by Yum Brands YUM.N willstop using the shredded iceberg lettuce from a supplier which has been linked to a parasitic outbreak of cyclosporiasis, that can cause explosive diarrhea and vomiting.
- Honda Motor 7267.T will end the production of its Prologue SUV this year, which it sells in the American market. The car maker is not immediately canceling sales, and expects them to continue through early 2027 as it winds down inventory.
- Logistics firm ArcBest Corp ARCB.O will reduce its workforce by 2% as it looks to simplify its brand structure. MoLo Solutions, Panther Premium Logistics and ArcBest Technologies will operate under the ArcBest brand from August 1.
- Uber Technologies UBER.N has agreed to buy German food-delivery company Delivery Hero DHER.DE in a deal valued at $14.8 billion, boosting its international footprint.
- U.S. wireless carrier Verizon Communications VZ.N is selling 274 of its retail stores to franchise owners and cutting about 3000 of its workforce as a part of its restructuring efforts.
