Safic-Alcan SAS (Paris), a leading chemical distributor, has acquired the subsidiaries of Ingredients Plus (Sydney, Australia) in Malaysia and Singapore, as per Chemweek.
Ingredients Plus is a leading specialty chemicals distributor with a strong presence in personal care. Financial details were not disclosed.This transaction will further expand the company’s presence in Asia. Safic-Alcan acquired a majority stake in Avees Biocos Ltd. (Gurugram, India), a leading personal care chemical distributor in India, in December 2024.Ingredients Plus has “exceptional” technical capabilities, with three abs for personal care, coatings and fragrances, making it a “very strong” match for the Safic-Alcan culture, said Laurent Natal, managing director/mergers and acquisitions at Safic-Alcan.
