CrowdStrike CRWD | 0.00 |
We wouldn't blame CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:CRWD) shareholders if they were a little worried about the fact that George Kurtz, the Co-Founder recently netted about US$4.1m selling shares at an average price of US$206. However, it's crucial to note that they remain very much invested in the stock and that sale only reduced their holding by 0.2%.
The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At CrowdStrike Holdings
In fact, the recent sale by Co-Founder George Kurtz was not their only sale of CrowdStrike Holdings shares this year. Earlier in the year, they fetched US$114 per share in a -US$19m sale. That means that even when the share price was below the current price of US$183, an insider wanted to cash in some shares. As a general rule we consider it to be discouraging when insiders are selling below the current price, because it suggests they were happy with a lower valuation. While insider selling is not a positive sign, we can't be sure if it does mean insiders think the shares are fully valued, so it's only a weak sign. It is worth noting that this sale was only 1.9% of George Kurtz's holding.
