On CNBC’s “Halftime Report Final Trades,” Jim Lebenthal, partner and chief market strategist at Cerity Partners, recommended Transocean Ltd. (NYSE:RIG), an energy stock.

Lending support to his choice, Transocean, on Aug. 5, posted better-than-expected second-quarter earnings and raised its FY2026 sales forecast. The company reported quarterly earnings of 3 cents per share, which beat the analyst consensus estimate of 2 cents per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $966.000 million, which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $959.900 million.

Anastasia Amoroso, managing director and chief investment strategist at Partners Group, picked Invesco Global Listed Private Equity ETF (NYSE:PSP).
