June 24 (Reuters) - Florida insurer Safepoint has filed to withdraw its initial public offering plans in the U.S., the company said on Wednesday.
The withdrawal comes as a suprise as the IPO market has picked up pace after a brief lull in March.
The Tampa, Florida-based company was aiming to raise up to $283.3 million by offering 16.7 million shares priced between $15 and $17 apiece.
Deutsche Bank Securities and Morgan Stanley were the bookrunning managers for the offering.
