July 23 (Reuters) - Honeywell Technologies HON.O posted a higher second-quarter profit on Thursday, benefiting from resilient demand in its industrial and building automation segments in its first earnings report since completing a historic breakup of the industrial conglomerate.
Shares of the Charlotte, North Carolina-based company rose 1.3% before the bell.
Quarterly adjusted profit came in at $1.95 per share, compared with $1.77 per share a year ago.
In February 2025, Honeywell said it would separate into three standalone companies focused on automation, aerospace and advanced materials.
Honeywell Aerospace HONA.O was spun off in June , while the advanced materials business was previously separated as Solstice Advanced Materials SOLS.O, leaving Honeywell Technologies as a pure-play automation company focused on industrial, process and building technologies.
