Adds news items, updates futures

- Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening higher on Tuesday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.41%.

* BAT: British American Tobacco BATS.L raised its forecast for revenue from smoking alternatives like vapes, partly thanks to strong demand in the U.S., where the company is actively preparing to launch new products after a significant policy shift.

* BRITISH LAND: British Land Company BLND.L announced the appointment of Joanne McNamara as chief executive officer, following former chief Simon Carter's departure in January.

* EASYJET: easyJet EZJ.L has caught the eye of U.S. investment firm Castlelake for a possible takeover. While easyJet has called the timing "highly opportunistic", analysts say its low valuation, slots at key airports and stable fleet make it a prime takeover target.

* BP: BP BP.L has asked senior independent director Amanda Blanc to lead the search for the next chair, the energy company's interim chair Ian Tyler said in a statement to Reuters.

* TRAIN STRIKES: Strikes are set to disrupt travel in London on Tuesday and Thursday, with some London Underground train drivers staging two 24-hour walkouts over proposed changes to their working hours.

* OIL: Oil prices trended lower following the previous session's sharp gains as the market remained cautious about progress in U.S.-Iran peace talks.

* GOLD: Gold prices rose , supported by lower Treasury yields and a partial ceasefire between Hezbollah and Israel, while investors awaited details on the status of U.S.-Iran peace talks amid conflicting news.

* METALS: Copper rose to a more than two-week high as unresolved U.S. tariff uncertainty and subsequent tightening supply outside the United States supported the market, while Middle East peace talks remained in focus.
