UPDATE 1-USITC says unwrought palladium from Russia does not injure US industry

Adds background in paragraphs 2-3

- The U.S. International Trade Commission on Friday said it had determined that Russian unwrought palladium, a material used to reduce emissions in gasoline vehicles, does not injure American companies, adding that it would release more information later.

The United States' anti-dumping investigation into palladium from Russia has been ongoing, with the U.S. Department of Commerce last week making a final determination on a countervailing duty of 109.1%.

Russian palladium imports in the U.S. rose to 27.6 tons in 2024, from 23.8 tons in 2023 and 20.4 tons in 2022. Palladium has so far avoided U.S. sanctions.
