US crude in SPR falls to lowest since 1983, EIA says

- U.S. energy firms pulled 5.5 million barrels of crude oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) in the week ended June 26, reducing the total amount of oil in the SPR to 325.7 million barrels, the lowest since May 1983, the U.S. Energy Information Administration said in its weekly Petroleum Status Report on Wednesday.
