S&P 500 futures pared losses on Monday as Treasury yields moved lower following a CNBC report, which cited two senior Treasury officials, that the Treasury Department could use its General Account to help fund its bond buyback operation.
Futures tied to the broad market index fell about 0.18%, while Nasdaq-100 futures lost 0.54%. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures traded 64 points, or 0.12%, lower.
While the officials didn’t specify how much of the TGA would be used, if at all, they said that it is viewed as available for use.
