LONDON, July 20 (Reuters) - Angola would load a similar number of cargoes in September as August, according to a preliminary programme seen by Reuters, while differentials of crude grades in the West African market were slow to emerge.

• Angola will load a total of 34 crude oil cargoes in September, amounting to 1.04 million barrels per day, compared with 35 cargoes scheduled to load in August, amounting to 1.09 million bpd.

• West African grades have received stiff competition from Latin American, United States, and Middle Eastern grades in their core demand regions in recent weeks, while high freight rates have also weighed.

• Meanwhile China's June crude oil imports from Angola fell 6% to 1.89 million bpd, according to customs data published.
