On Saturday, Israel’s Defense Minister stated that the country had launched a preemptive strike against Iran. Shortly thereafter, Donald Trump announced that the United States had recently initiated major combat operations within Iran.
Outlining the military objectives, Trump declared that Iran would never be allowed to possess nuclear weapons. He stated that the U.S. would destroy Iran's missiles and level its missile industry to the ground. Reaffirming the commitment to keeping Iran nuclear-free, he added that the U.S. would also destroy the Iranian navy.
