The continuous escalation of the US-Iran situation is putting pressure on the market. US oil has returned to the $100 mark, the Dow Jones Industrial Average(DJI.US) and NASDAQ(IXIC.US) have fallen into correction territory, the "fear index" VIX has broken through the 30 mark, and the US Dollar Index has returned to the 100 mark.
The market is watching the latest developments in the US-Iran situation. According to the latest news, a spokesperson for the Iranian Armed Forces stated on the 27th local time that Iran is formulating conditions for the end of the war. US Presidential Envoy Witkoff stated that talks with the Iranian side are expected this week. Witkoff also said that a response from Iran to the US's 15-point ceasefire proposal is expected soon.
On the macro front, the G7 will hold another meeting next Monday to discuss issues related to the release of oil reserves; from Tuesday to Thursday, several Federal Reserve officials, including Williams, will deliver speeches; next Friday will be Good Friday, and the US stock market will be closed for one day.
In terms of economic data, the ADP and non-farm payrolls data will be released next week! Among them, the US March non-farm employment report to be released on Friday will become the market focus. As a key indicator for evaluating the labor market and inflation pressure, this indicator will directly affect the Fed's interest rate path and may trigger severe fluctuations in assets such as US stocks, gold, and the US dollar.
