A range of crucial U.S. employment data is scheduled for release ahead of the Independence Day holiday on Friday. The widely-watched nonfarm payrolls report from the Labor Department's Bureau of Labor Statistics is projected to show an increase of 110,000 jobs in June, compared to 172,000 jobs in May. Private payrolls likely added 110,000 jobs, following a gain of 120,000 jobs in the prior month. The Bureau will also release the unemployment rate for June, which likely remained unchanged at 4.3%. Average hourly earnings on a monthly basis likely rose 0.3% in June, while on an annual basis, earnings are forecast to have increased 3.5%. The average workweek is likely to hold at 34.3 hours in June, in line with the May reading. Meanwhile, initial jobless claims for the week ended June 27 are expected to rise to 220,000 from 215,000 the week before, while continued jobless claims for the week ended June 20 likely eased to 1.810 million from 1.821 million previously. Separately, the Census Bureau is set to release factory orders data for May, which is expected to show a decline of 1.8%, after a 4.8% increase in April. Durable goods data is also due.
Tesla is expected to report a rise in second-quarter deliveries as demand stabilizes after a drop following the expiry of tax credits in September. Separately, EV maker Rivian is also scheduled to report its second-quarter deliveries shortly after beginning deliveries of its R2 electric SUVs, a launch widely viewed by analysts as critical to the company's next phase of growth.
Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco President Mary Daly is set to participate in the 5th Banco de España-CEMFI-UIMP Conference on the Spanish Economy, hosted by the Bank of Spain (0745/1145).
For Canada, S&P Global is scheduled to post its manufacturing PMI data for June.
In the Latin American economic monitor, Brazil's inflation index, as measured by IPC-Fipe, is scheduled for June.
