Oil prices rose by more than 2% amid US and Iranian strikes in the Middle East and reduced supplies through the Strait of Hormuz.
Singapore, July 13 (Reuters) - Oil prices rose as Iran escalated attacks in Gulf states following U.S. strikes, threatening energy shipments through the Strait of Hormuz.
Brent crude futures rose $2.67 a barrel, or 3.51 percent, to $78.68 a barrel by 2204 GMT on Sunday, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures climbed $2.48, or 3.47 percent, to $73.89 a barrel.
