Syrian Civil Defense: More than 15 civilians rescued after a ferry carrying more than 35 people collided with a bridge in Deir ez-Zor

- At least two children died after a ferry carrying more than 35 people crashed into a bridge in the eastern Syrian city of Deir al-Zour while crossing the Euphrates River on Sunday, the Syrian Civil Defense said.

The Civil Defense also announced "the survival of more than 15 civilians who were on board the ferry that collided with the military bridge... and everyone on board fell into the river waters."

He added, "The Syrian Civil Defense teams in the Emergency and Disaster Management Directorate in Deir ez-Zor are continuing search and rescue operations for the missing persons at the site of the accident in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense and the local residents."
