Trump: There will be no transit fees in the Strait of Hormuz unless imposed by America and for its benefit.

- U.S. President Donald Trump said on Saturday that no tolls would be imposed on passage through the Strait of Hormuz during or after the 60-day temporary ceasefire with Iran, unless the United States imposed them if peace talks failed.

Trump wrote on Truth Social, "There will be no tolls in the Strait of Hormuz for 60 days during the ceasefire period, and there will be no tolls after the end of the 60-day period, unless imposed by the United States of America and for its benefit in the event that the agreement is not concluded, in return for services rendered as the guardian angel of the Middle Eastern countries in order to compensate for past, present and future costs."
