United Arab Emirates : Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA), the largest industrial company in the UAE outside the oil and gas sector, received the Platinum Innovation Award from the Dubai Quality Group, one of five prestigious awards the company received during the group's annual awards ceremony.
Emirates Global Aluminium received the awards from His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports Corporation, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group.
Najiba Al Jabri, Chief Environmental, Social and Sustainability Officer at Emirates Global Aluminium, won the Emirates Women Award in the leadership category.
The company also won other awards in recognition of its efforts in continuous improvement in health and safety, and for the innovation projects it implemented across its various operational processes.

Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) has been developing its proprietary aluminium smelting technologies in the UAE for over 30 years and is now a leading technology provider in the global aluminium industry. The company has relied on its proprietary technologies in all its expansion projects since the 1990s and was the first UAE company to license its core industrial technology internationally. Its EX technology, the tenth generation of smelting technology developed by the company, is among the most efficient aluminium smelting technologies in the world and is currently being tested at its Al Taweelah site.
