  Bahrain Bourse, the exchange licensed by the Central Bank of Bahrain, participated in the HSBC GCC Stock Exchanges Conference in London, which was held from June 8 to 11, 2026, with the participation of Mr. Yousef Al Yousef, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bahrain Bourse, and Sheikh Khalifa bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Bourse, along with representatives from Bahrain Bourse, HSBC Bank Bahrain, Bapco Energies, and Aluminium Bahrain (Alba).

The conference brought together a diverse group of over 300 institutional investors, along with more than 100 companies from the Middle East region, as well as representatives from all seven stock exchanges in the GCC countries. The event saw over 3,000 meetings held, marking the largest gathering of its kind in the conference's five-year history.

As part of the conference agenda, Sheikh Khalifa bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Bourse, participated in a panel discussion entitled: “Listings, Liquidity and Governance: Prospects for Gulf Capital Markets.” The session addressed the future of capital markets in the GCC countries, focusing on enhancing listing processes, increasing liquidity, and developing governance standards to support sustainable growth and enhance the global competitiveness of Gulf markets.

On this occasion, Mr. Yousef Al Yousef, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bahrain Bourse, stated: “Our participation in the HSBC GCC Stock Exchanges Conference reflects Bahrain Bourse’s ongoing commitment to consolidating the Kingdom of Bahrain’s position as a competitive and dynamic investment destination characterized by transparency. These meetings aimed to review the latest developments and strategic initiatives launched by the Bahrain Bourse, highlight investment opportunities available in the Kingdom, and strengthen relationships with relevant international stakeholders, thereby contributing to consolidating the Kingdom of Bahrain's position as an attractive and competitive financial and investment hub in the region.
