Zawya - Press Releases: Pure Health announces spending AED 6.33 billion on local procurement, nearly tripling its contribution to the National Content Program.

Abu Dhabi, UAE : Pure Health, the largest healthcare group in the Middle East, announced today that the group’s total spending on local procurement has exceeded AED 6.33 billion since joining the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology’s National Content Program in 2022. This figure represents a threefold increase compared to the AED 2.25 billion in procurement recorded in 2025, reflecting the group’s growing role in supporting economic diversification efforts and promoting industrial development in the UAE.

This achievement was announced on the sidelines of Pure Health’s participation in the fifth edition of the “Make in the UAE” platform, where the group aims to highlight the role and importance of sustainable investment in supporting the objectives of the National Content Program for developing the healthcare and industrial sectors in the UAE. Pure Health continues to work towards fulfilling its commitment to invest AED 13 billion within the National Content Program by 2032, driven by its integrated and sustainable approach to strengthening local supply chains, supporting national industries, and enabling sustainable economic growth across the country.

Rashid Saif Al Qubaisi, Chief Operating Officer of PureHealth Group, said: “Our National Content Program strategy is a key pillar for expanding the Group’s impact on the healthcare ecosystem. The fact that local procurement has exceeded AED 6.33 billion underscores our commitment to integrating the National Content Program into all our operations, from investing in local suppliers and building national capabilities to improving the resilience of our supply chain, logistics, and delivery processes. By consistently prioritizing local capabilities, we are enhancing the resilience of our supply chain, ensuring the continuity of care delivery, in line with the UAE’s industrial agenda, and contributing to long-term economic growth and diversification.”

Pure Health companies achieved remarkable performance within the National Content Program, thanks to their adoption of a transparent and inclusive business approach. SEHA topped the list of contributors to the program with 81.13%, in addition to outstanding contributions from Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, Daman, PureLab, and Rafed. These efforts reflect Pure Health companies' excellence in integrating localization efforts into procurement, operations, and workforce development.

The group's contributions have been widely recognized locally. SEHA received the National Content Program Award for its participation in "Make in the UAE," and in 2025, Rafed received the same award in recognition of its role in supporting the participation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in "Make in the UAE." Daman also garnered three awards from the federal "Nafes" program, including first place for "Efforts to Support Emiratization" and a Diamond category award for employee empowerment.

Pure Health’s supply strategy covers medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, technology, and infrastructure, with a focus on UAE-based suppliers who meet global standards. Through its long-term partnerships and supplier development programs, the group expands opportunities for local businesses while enhancing the resilience and sustainability of supply chains.

In light of the rapid steps taken by the UAE to achieve its industrial ambitions, Pure Health Group continues to invest within the National Content Program, which enhances its role in enabling sustainable economic growth and confirms the role of the healthcare sector in supporting national development priorities.
