Cairo: Ahl Masr Hospital for Burn Treatment received His Excellency Ambassador Sheikh/ Jassim bin Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Arab Republic of Egypt, and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, during an official visit to the hospital headquarters, in the presence of Dr. Heba Al-Suwaidi, founder and chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Ahl Masr Foundation and Hospital for Burn Treatment.

This visit comes as part of the support for the humanitarian and medical efforts provided by Ahl Masr Hospital for Burn Treatment, and reflects the keen interest of diplomatic missions in following the hospital's role in developing the system for treating and caring for burn victims in Egypt and the region, given its status as one of the leading specialized medical institutions in this field. The visit was attended by a number of hospital leaders and the delegation accompanying His Excellency from the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

During the visit, His Excellency the Ambassador toured the various departments of the hospital, including the intensive care units, operating rooms, and rehabilitation and psychological support centers, where he was briefed on the latest medical technologies and treatment protocols adopted within the hospital, in addition to the integrated care model that combines physical treatment and psychological and social support for patients.

Dr. Heba El-Sewedy, founder and chairperson of the board of trustees of the Ahl Masr Foundation and Hospital for Burn Treatment, said:

His Excellency Ambassador Sheikh Jassim bin Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Thani affirmed that the Ahl Masr Burns Hospital represents a pioneering humanitarian and medical model that transcends providing treatment to offer patients hope and comprehensive support throughout their recovery journey. He commended the high level of professionalism and dedication he witnessed during his visit, demonstrated by the medical and administrative staff in serving burn victims. He also expressed his aspiration to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise between health and humanitarian institutions in the State of Qatar and the Arab Republic of Egypt, contributing to the support of specialized initiatives in the treatment and rehabilitation of burn victims, based on the belief in the importance of joint efforts to enhance quality of life and solidify the values of human solidarity.

His Excellency also listened to a detailed presentation about the work system within Ahl Masr Hospital for Burn Treatment, the mechanisms for receiving cases, and the stages of treatment and rehabilitation, in addition to reviewing a number of recovery stories that reflect the direct humanitarian impact of the hospital’s mission, and its role in improving the quality of life of patients and reintegrating them into society.
