This leadership transition took place on the sidelines of the closed meeting of the UAE-India Business Council – UAE Chapter, which celebrated the UAE’s resilience and the UAE-India growth story, held in Dubai. The event was graced by the presence of His Excellency Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, His Excellency Dr. Deepak Mittal, Ambassador of India to the UAE, and His Excellency Satish Kumar Sivan, Consul General of India in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, along with a distinguished group of senior decision-makers, ambassadors, and business leaders from the UAE, India, and the wider international community .

Mr. Ved takes over the chairmanship of the council from its founding chairman, Mr. Faisal Kotikollon, who played a pivotal role in shaping the journey of the UAE-India Business Council - UAE Chapter since its inception, thus opening a new leadership phase focused on deepening bilateral dialogue, opening up strategic investment prospects, and strengthening the established UAE-India partnership .

This appointment comes at a pivotal moment as the UAE-India Economic Corridor is witnessing remarkable acceleration towards the shared goal of $200 billion in bilateral trade, under the momentum provided by the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement and ongoing interaction at the highest governmental levels, including the recent visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the UAE .

This appointment reflects a natural extension of Mr. Ved’s growing presence on the regional economic scene, as he participated as a key trade speaker in the inaugural Arab Economic Leadership Dialogue, organized by the Arab Council at the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, where he contributed strategic perspectives on trade, investment, innovation and entrepreneurship, alongside His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism, and His Excellency Dr. Deepak Mittal, India’s Ambassador to the UAE .
