The partnership comes at a time when the Kingdom continues to solidify its position as a rising global power in artificial intelligence, through massive investments in the sector, focusing on developing secure and reliable solutions and fostering an environment conducive to innovation. The results of the 2026 AI Index report, published by Stanford University, a leading research institute specializing in these advanced technologies, reflect the impact of these efforts, revealing that Saudi Arabia ranked first globally in the areas of protecting AI systems, securing data and maintaining privacy, as well as empowering women in this sector.

As artificial intelligence grows in importance as a national strategic pillar, there is an increasing need to build a sovereign system that enables the state to manage these technologies according to its priorities and cybersecurity requirements, in a way that supports long-term economic growth and enhances the Kingdom’s position in leading technology and the digital economy.

Under the agreement, the two parties will collaborate to explore opportunities for developing a reliable AI infrastructure and secure platforms. This will enhance sovereign capabilities, enabling government entities and institutions to independently design and manage AI applications while maintaining data security, service continuity, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This will be achieved by leveraging Magna AI's integrated capabilities in sovereign AI, combined with Naver Innovation's local expertise, to help the Kingdom strengthen its national capabilities and expand the use of these technologies across various sectors.

The partnership also aims to help institutions and government entities move from planning and initial testing to the actual implementation of artificial intelligence, through a secure, scalable, and locally managed operating environment that adheres to governance requirements. Furthermore, the partnership integrates infrastructure, smart solutions, data protection mechanisms, and systems within a comprehensive framework, thereby achieving long-term economic and social value for the Kingdom and contributing to the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

In this regard, Dr. Moataz Bin Ali, CEO of Magna AI, emphasized that building national capabilities in artificial intelligence is now as crucial as establishing the infrastructure for previous industrial revolutions, noting that possessing these capabilities will determine a country's standing in the global economy in the coming years.
