Zawya - Press Releases: Partnership and Mohammed Al Barwani Charitable Foundation celebrate the graduation of participants in the "My Family" program
Muscat: Sharakah, the leading SME development company in the Sultanate of Oman, in cooperation with the Mohammed Al Barwani Foundation for Charitable Works, the philanthropy and social responsibility arm of the Mohammed Al Barwani Group of Companies, celebrated the graduation of participants in the “My Family” program, a six-month development initiative aimed at supporting and developing the projects of productive Omani families .
The program was launched under an agreement signed by Mr. Ali bin Ahmed Muqbil, CEO of Sharakah, and Ms. Iman Al Barwani, CEO of the Mohammed Al Barwani Foundation for Charitable Works, in a step that reflects the commitment of both parties to empower productive families through entrepreneurship, vocational training, and business development support .
The "My Family" program focused on developing the skills of 15 beneficiaries from various sectors, including woodworking, food and beverages, handicrafts, perfumes and incense, trade, and sewing and embroidery. Through an integrated development framework, participants received specialized technical and managerial training, tailored consulting services, and practical guidance that contributed to increasing the efficiency of their projects and enhancing their long-term sustainability .
During the program, participants benefited from 229 hours of consultation, 96 hours of training and capacity building, including 5 technical workshops and 7 administrative workshops, in addition to 45 hours of technical training and 51 hours of administrative training, supported by 16 field visits and the preparation of 16 customized development action plans .
The program achieved tangible results in project performance, with participating organizations recording an average growth rate of 21.39%, launching 37 new products, and expanding to 15 new points of sale. Participants also successfully attracted 182 new clients, and 15 projects underwent digital transformation, enhancing business efficiency and expanding market access. The program also contributed to the registration of two new projects and the creation of one new job opportunity .
Commenting on the program's success, Mr. Ali bin Ahmed Muqbil, CEO of Sharakah, said :

The program also contributed to strengthening the participants’ connection to the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Sultanate of Oman, through their participation in 6 “Connect Partnership” sessions and webinars.
