Riyadh, Saudi Arabia : Flynas, the world’s leading low-cost carrier and the first in the Middle East, announced the establishment of a new operations center at Prince Naif Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Qassim, in cooperation with the leading airport operator, Airports Cluster II, making Flynas the first Saudi airline to operate its flight network from six different centers across the Kingdom .

Starting this July, flynas will launch the first phase of operations at its new hub in Al-Qassim, with direct flights to five international and domestic destinations. The international network from Al-Qassim will include direct flights to Istanbul, Trabzon, and Cairo (Sphinx International Airport), in addition to two direct domestic routes to Abha and Dammam in the first phase.

On this occasion, Mr. Bandar Al-Muhanna, CEO and Managing Director of Flynas, said: “The establishment of our new operations center in Al-Qassim reflects Flynas’ commitment to enhancing air connectivity and represents an investment in building an integrated operating network that covers various regions of the Kingdom.

For his part, Engineer Ali Masrahi, CEO of the Second Airports Cluster, confirmed that the inauguration of the new Flynas operations center at Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Qassim is a pivotal step within the strategic plans of the Second Airports Cluster to enhance partnerships and build operational networks with partners to cover various regions of the Kingdom, by taking advantage of the potential demand of travelers and adding new air routes, whether domestic or international, in order to achieve the objectives of the aviation program stemming from the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics to reach 330 million passengers during 2030.

In line with its growth and expansion strategy, launched under the slogan "Connecting the world to the Kingdom" and providing more options for travelers, the leading low-cost carrier plans to gradually double the number of international and domestic destinations linked to the new Qassim hub, in addition to its flights from existing operations hubs in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Madinah and Abha.
