Zawya - Press Releases: Abu Dhabi Judiciary Achieves 405% Growth in Digital Authentications During the First Quarter of 2026
The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department achieved a qualitative leap in the number of digital certifications, recording a growth of 405% during the first quarter of 2026, compared to the same period last year, with 637,000 digital certifications, reflecting the readiness and sustainability of the efficiency of its digital system and its ability to keep pace with the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
The first quarter performance indicators report showed the completion of more than 223,000 electronic civil and criminal requests, an increase of 6%, distributed between 195,300 civil requests and 27,700 criminal requests, in addition to holding 153,000 video sessions, an increase of 16%, which embodies the efforts to expand the use of digital solutions and adopt global best practices.
The digital system also recorded the issuance of 5,403 automatic execution order cancellation decisions during the first quarter of 2026, through the innovative system that allows the cancellation of executive decisions related to payment in the immediate and electronically approved manner and notification of the concerned parties without human intervention, which enhances the efficiency and speed of completing transactions, and embodies the department’s leadership in employing digital solutions and smart systems.
As part of strengthening the system of alternative dispute resolution methods, the department completed 2,825 cases through mediation and conciliation during the first quarter of 2026, with a growth rate of 14%, reflecting the growing reliance on amicable approaches in addressing and settling disputes efficiently and effectively .
Regarding family guidance and reform services, the department dealt with 2,835 family disputes, provided 148 electronic family legal consultations, in addition to holding 3,511 sessions and implementing 6,586 orders for visitation of children in custody, which enhances the protection of family ties and supports the stability of the family as the basic pillar of society.
Regarding judicial services, the department completed 21,814 transactions for the general notary public, and more than 5,000 transactions for the private notary public, in addition to 11,621 notarization transactions, reflecting the ability of the judicial system to accommodate the increasing growth in the volume of requests for transactions according to the highest standards of quality and speed .
