Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – Wiser, the global platform founded by Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company “Masdar” and the Zayed Sustainability Prize, today announced the launch of the second season of its “ Words of Wisdom ” podcast, continuing its role in empowering women as active contributors to leading sustainable positive change efforts.
Following the success of the first season, the podcast continues with a new series of dialogues with prominent leaders from various sectors of politics, business and society, highlighting the importance of enhancing leadership skills and resilience, how individuals and institutions deal with rapid transformations, and ways to achieve tangible progress that includes everyone .
The second season of the podcast kicks off with a conversation between His Excellency Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson, former President of Iceland and Chairman of the Board of the Arctic Circle, and Reem Al-Musabbih, a participant in the "Wizer" program, to discuss how countries can transform from resource-based economies to global leaders in clean energy and innovation. The episode also highlights the importance of fostering trust, ambitious visions, and collaborative action to drive progress.
Another episode brings together Her Excellency Dr. Joel Clarke, Minister of Sustainable Development and Climate Action of Saint Kitts and Nevis, and Her Excellency Dr. Nawal Al-Hosani, Permanent Representative of the UAE to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), in a dialogue that addresses women’s representation in leadership positions, and the importance of women confidently stepping into positions of influence and decision-making at early stages of their careers .
Dr. Lamya Nawaf Fawaz, Executive Director of Corporate Identity and Strategic Initiatives at Masdar and Director of Program Management for the Wiser platform, said: “The Wiser platform seeks to promote dialogue and the exchange of inspiring experiences, given its pivotal role in building bridges of communication, broadening horizons, and accelerating progress towards a more inclusive and sustainable future.”

The second season will include four episodes, each featuring a prominent figure and a representative from Wiser's global sustainability community.
The first episode (June 24), featuring His Excellency Olafur Ragnar Grímsson and Reem Al Musabbeh, addresses the concept of "resilience as a cornerstone of progress," discussing how countries and leaders can cope with rapid transformations through clarity of vision, building trust, and promoting joint action .
The second episode (July 19), entitled “The Importance of Women’s Participation in Decision-Making,” brings together Her Excellency Dr. Joel Clark and Her Excellency Dr. Nawal Al Hosani, where the importance of participation in leadership roles, fair representation in positions of influence, and empowering women to access decision-making circles at early stages will be highlighted.
In the third episode (August 26), Noura Masouh meets with Andrea Voinea in a dialogue entitled "Adapting or Falling Behind," which addresses how to prepare qualified competencies for the future and outline the features of institutional transformation in the age of artificial intelligence .
The series concludes with the fourth episode (September 24), which brings together Serene Malik and Gauri Singh in a dialogue entitled "Empowering People Before Systems," where they discuss the importance of adopting an approach that puts people at the heart of developing the energy system, and adopting comprehensive solutions that stem from the needs of communities .

The “Words of Wisdom” podcast reflects the three core pillars of the “Wiser” platform, which are education, communication, and empowerment. This series comes as part of the platform’s year-round initiatives, which include the “Leaders” program and the “Wiser Cares” initiative, in addition to the annual Wiser platform gathering held during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.
