Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Hyundai Motor Group (the Group) today announced the launch of its expanded joint training program, in collaboration with the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation “Misk”.
Ten talented Saudi students and graduates were selected to participate in an intensive eight-week program at the group's global headquarters in Seoul, which began on July 6. This initiative represents a significant step in the group's commitment to nurturing future talent and deepening its strategic partnership with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
On this occasion, Hokyun Chung, Executive Vice President of Future Strategy at Hyundai Motor Group, said: “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a key strategic market and an important partner in Hyundai Motor Group’s long-term vision. We are delighted to collaborate with the Misk Foundation and welcome talented young Saudis to Hyundai Motor Group through this training program. This experience will equip participants with valuable skills and an opportunity to gain firsthand insight into our business, innovations, and future vision. We are confident that this initiative will contribute to nurturing future talent, further strengthening the partnership between Korea and Saudi Arabia, and fostering deeper cooperation in the coming years.”
Asma Al-Jasser, General Manager of the Misk Skills Pathway at the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation, said: “The success of the first cohort has proven the true value of this partnership and the positive impact it can have on Saudi youth. Expanding our collaboration with Hyundai Motor Group this year reflects our shared commitment to developing future talent through world-class educational experiences that prepare young people for the changing demands of the labor market. At the Misk Skills Pathway, we are proud to continue providing opportunities that enable the next generation to gain practical experience, benefit from global perspectives, and enhance the confidence that qualifies them to lead the future.”
How has the vocational training program evolved?
Following the success of the pilot phase of the program in 2025 with only two trainees, the program was expanded to include various sectors of the Hyundai Motor Group in 2026. This significant expansion comes as a result of strengthening the Group’s firm and extended commitment to the region, and is based on meetings held in October 2025 between Euisun Chung, CEO of the Hyundai Motor Group, and Dr. Bader Hamoud Al-Bader, CEO of the Misk Foundation.
This year’s program was met with overwhelming enthusiasm from Saudi youth, attracting over 2,500 applicants, reflecting the strong appeal of the group’s vision and the significant opportunity the program offers. Ten trainees were selected following a rigorous evaluation process based on their professional competencies, global communication skills, and potential for growth and development.
What benefits will trainees gain during the program?
The intensive eight-week internship program is designed to provide participants with in-depth practical experience within a global original equipment manufacturer (OEM). By training them in key departments and strategic functions within the group, interns will have the opportunity to gain diverse experience in areas related to the group's priorities, including global strategy, design, and business operations.
The program also provides participants with a broader understanding of how a global company operates, including its latest technologies, strategic priorities, and future initiatives, thus supporting their professional development and enhancing their global perspective. Trainees will also participate in applied research projects focused on the Saudi Arabian and Middle Eastern markets, gaining practical experience and building a professional network.
What are the next steps in the partnership between Hyundai Motor Group and the Misk Foundation?
The expanded practical training program is a cornerstone of the growing and multifaceted partnership between Hyundai Motor Group and the Misk Foundation. Building on this partnership, the Group will continue its participation in the Misk Global Forum in November through various initiatives, including the Smart Cities Workshop [1] , which the Group will be organizing for the second consecutive year, in addition to its various sponsorship initiatives.
In the next phase, the group intends to deepen its cooperation with the Misk Foundation, expand joint efforts to promote human exchange between Saudi Arabia and South Korea, and support broader prospects for cooperation between various related industries and sectors.
These initiatives collectively reflect a shared commitment from the Hyundai Motor Group and the Misk Foundation to developing future talent and fostering cooperation between South Korea and Saudi Arabia.
