US official: SpaceX aims for 10,000 launches annually within 5 years
ARLINGTON, May 21 (Reuters) - SpaceX aims to conduct 10,000 launches a year within five years, U.S. Federal Aviation Administration chief Brian Bedford said on Wednesday.
Bedford added that he met with Gwynne Shotwell, president of SpaceX, and that she briefed him on the company's ambitious goal.
She told him "about SpaceX's five-year vision to reach ten thousand launches per year."
Bedford said at a forum that he does not believe the Federal Aviation Administration is the obstacle limiting the increase in launches at the moment.
"I don't think we are the constrained worker today."
