The EU's foreign policy chief: I expect a political agreement to be reached on imposing sanctions on settlers who perpetrate violence in the West Bank.
BRUSSELS, May 11 (Reuters) - The European Union's foreign policy chief, Kaya Kallas, said ahead of a meeting of the bloc's foreign ministers that they might reach an agreement on imposing sanctions on settlers who perpetrate violence in the West Bank on Monday.
She added, "I am optimistic that we will reach an agreement," noting that it is still not entirely clear whether the required majority will be obtained to pass the proposals.
