HAMBURG, June 9 (Reuters) - Jordan's state grain buyer purchased about 60,000 tonnes of hard milling wheat from optional origins in an international tender on Tuesday, traders said.
It is believed that the purchase was made from the trading company (CHS) at a price of $275.20 per ton including cost and shipping , with the shipment to take place in the second half of August.
The reports reflect the assessments of traders, and new estimates of prices and volumes are likely to be issued later.
Traders reported that other trading companies participated in today's tender, with Cargill offering $279.90 per ton, Ameropa $277.87 per ton, Olam $276.50 per ton, and Dreyfus $280 per ton, all inclusive of cost and freight.
Traders expect a new tender to be issued in the coming days targeting the purchase of approximately 120,000 tons of wheat, with a closing date of June 15.
The new tender is expected to require shipping during September and October.
