Maritime Authority: All crew members are safe and no environmental damage has been reported
CAIRO, July 14 (Reuters) - A British oil tanker was hit by a projectile of undetermined nature while sailing 40 nautical miles northeast of Qalhat in Oman, the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said on Tuesday.
The agency added that the tanker's captain reported that it had been hit by a projectile in the engine room on the right side.
He confirmed the safety of all crew members.
