Turkish Trade Minister: Trade deficit fell 15.7% in May

- Turkey's trade deficit fell 15.7 percent year-on-year to $5.6 billion in May, Trade Minister Omer Polat said on Thursday, attributing the decline mainly to a decrease in the number of working days during that month.

He added that exports fell 9.3 percent to $22.5 billion in May, and imports dropped 10.7 percent to $28.1 billion in the same period.
