Iraqi Oil Minister: The agreement will raise crude production from the Bin Omar field to 150,000 barrels per day and associated gas to 300 million cubic feet per day.
July 5 (Reuters) - Iraqi Oil Minister Bassem Mohammed al-Abadi said on Sunday that Basra Oil Company had signed a five-year integrated management contract with U.S. firm Halliburton for the Bin Omar and Sindbad oil fields, in line with the government's plans to increase production.
The contract aims to increase crude oil production from the Bin Omar field to 150,000 barrels per day, and from the Sindbad field to 100,000 barrels per day, while also increasing associated gas production in both fields.
