July 15 (Reuters) - U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh said on Wednesday that President Donald Trump had not asked him to do anything inappropriate, and that even if Trump had, he would not.

Worsch's statement came in response to a series of questions from U.S. senators about whether he had spoken with Trump, who appointed him, since taking office nearly two months ago.

Warsh declined to answer directly whether he had spoken with Trump, but said he did not think it appropriate to disclose the content of his communications with administration officials.
