July 15 (Reuters) - Wall Street's three major indexes opened higher on Wednesday as investors assessed weaker-than-expected producer price inflation data and a string of corporate earnings reports.
PayPal's stock jumped after news broke of a $53 billion takeover bid.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 95.9 points, or 0.18 percent, to 52,604.2 points, and the Standard & Poor's 500 index gained 28.1 points, or 0.37 percent, to 7,571.72 points.
The Nasdaq Composite Index rose 154.2 points, or 0.59 percent, to 26,261.183 points.
