Trading Session Selection for Options

When trading index options, you can select which session your orders execute within: Global Trading Hours (GTH), or Regular Trading Hours (RTH) plus the Curb Session. Orders will execute only within their designated session.

  • US Holiday Trading Hours

Note：

  • Orders set for a specific session will expire if not executed by the end of that session. (Example: A GTH order expires at the end of GTH if unfilled.)
  • The trading hours selection feature is only available for certain index option contracts.
  • Special arrangements, such as US Holiday Trading Hours and Early Close Hours, occur according to the CBOE holiday schedule.
  • Market orders are only allowed during RTH.
