Muscat – Reaffirming its commitment to nurturing national talent and developing a capable generation of banking professionals, Ahli Bank recently celebrated the graduation of its 2025 cohort from its three development programs: “Himam,” “ iGeneration, ” and the “Business Graduate Program.” The cohort comprised over 70 graduates. These programs aim to equip participants with the skills and practical experience necessary to thrive in a sophisticated financial environment. The graduation ceremony was attended by several members of Ahli Bank’s executive management team and the graduates, marking another milestone in the bank’s journey of investing in human capital.
Celebrating this achievement, Qais Al-Hassani, Assistant General Manager - Head of Human Resources, said: “At the National Bank, we believe that building a resilient and future-proof organization begins with investing in people. Therefore, our commitment to developing national talent stems from our dedication to empowering individuals with the confidence, skills, and opportunities that enable them to contribute effectively to the national development journey. Leading institutions are not measured solely by the services they provide, but also by the impact they have through attracting, developing, and inspiring talent. By providing a work environment that encourages learning, innovation, and professional and personal growth, we invest in preparing future leaders who will shape the banking sector and the national economy. We are proud of the achievements of this year’s graduates and reaffirm our commitment to continuing to support their career paths and empower them to achieve even greater success and development.”
The bank’s three talent development programs form integrated career paths designed to cultivate a capable generation by combining learning, practical mentorship, and real-world professional experience. The “Himam” program equips recent graduates with the knowledge, practical experience, and leadership skills necessary to build successful careers in the banking sector. The “ iGeneration ” program focuses on developing future digital and technological skills, while also fostering a culture of innovation. The Business Graduates program aims to prepare national talent within the National Bank to lead the banking sector by blending practical experience with specialized professional development, thus qualifying them for high-quality, specialized roles across the bank’s various departments.
These initiatives embody the National Bank of Oman's ongoing contribution to achieving the goals of Oman Vision 2040, particularly those related to developing national capabilities and building a dynamic and competitive economy. The bank contributes to developing the skills and expertise necessary to support the future growth of the financial sector in the Sultanate by continuing to invest in human capital development and strengthening institutional capabilities, while also reinforcing the role of the private sector as an active partner in achieving national development priorities.
As Ahli Bank continues to adapt to the rapid transformations in the financial sector, investing in the potential of young Omanis remains a cornerstone of its long-term strategy. Through initiatives that foster knowledge, adaptability, and professional excellence, the bank continues to strengthen its readiness to capitalize on future opportunities, contributing to sustainable value for the communities it serves and supporting the economic development of the Sultanate of Oman.
