Abu Dhabi : As part of national efforts to promote industrial technology transformation in the UAE, the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology and Abu Dhabi-based “Industry Technology”, which specializes in industrial artificial intelligence and robotics solutions, signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at supporting and accelerating the adoption of Fourth Industrial Revolution applications in various industrial sectors in the UAE.
The memorandum was signed by Fatima Issa Al Muhairi, Director of the Industry and Advanced Technology Department at the Ministry, and by Mubarak Abdul Nasser Doman Al Ameri, Managing Director of the Technology Industry Company, in the presence of His Excellency Mohammed Salem Kardous Al Ameri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Technology Industry, and His Excellency Osama Amir Mohammed Fadl, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry for the Industrial Accelerators Sector and the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology. This took place on the sidelines of the fifth session of the “Made in the UAE” platform, organized by the Ministry in Abu Dhabi, hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, ADNOC Group, and Al Emad Holding Company, and organized by ADNEC Group.
This memorandum supports enabling the adoption of smart automation, self-contained logistics solutions, and advanced industrial infrastructure, in line with the UAE's industrial targets and the "Made in the UAE" initiative.
Fatima Issa Al Muhairi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, said: “These efforts are part of an integrated vision led by the Ministry to enhance the objectives of the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology and the ‘Make in the UAE’ initiative, and to translate them into tangible results on the ground, thereby strengthening the resilience of supply chains and consolidating the UAE’s position as a global center for advanced industry and industrial technology.”
She added: “The Transform 4.0 program represents a practical step to support industrial technological transformation and enable manufacturers to accelerate the adoption of technological transformation, which contributes to linking production with actual market demand and supports the growth of small and medium-sized industrial companies. By working with a technology manufacturing company, we will help manufacturers adopt technology at a faster pace and take advantage of the opportunities necessary to expand and compete from the UAE.”
For his part, Mubarak Abdul Nasser Doman Al Ameri said: “We thank the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology for its continued support of national companies, especially those that focus on developing smart logistics systems in the region. We have succeeded in launching one of the first smart warehouse applications in the UAE, and we continue to develop advanced technologies designed locally that enable the full autonomy of warehouses by integrating robots, software and real-time decision-making systems within a unified operating environment.”
He added: "Our company is a leader in developing an internal Robotics Management System (RMS), an advanced coordination platform that links robotic systems to business logic, enabling seamless coordination of multi-vendor robotic fleets within a unified operating environment."
