NEW YORK, Feb 11 (Reuters) - Marathon Petroleum MPC.N shut its refinery in Catlettsburg, Kentucky due to a power supply interruption on Tuesday evening, industry monitor IIR Energy said on Wednesday.

The facility remains offline on Wednesday, IIR Energy said in a note.

Marathon did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

"As a result of a third-party power interruption, operating conditions at the Catlettsburg refinery made flaring necessary," according to a company statement shared by Catlettsburg Emergency Management on Tuesday evening.
